Your data is safe

When using our conversion measurement feature, Bandsintown does not see, keep or reuse the emails you upload to our system. The uploaded data is immediately encrypted, matched against our data, then deleted once the stats have been generated, thereby keeping the emails fully anonymous.

Uploading a list of ticket buyers

From your venue dashboard, navigate to Events.

Step 1: Select events

To upload a list of ticket buyers for one event, click the three dots on the right and click "Track Sales."

To upload ticket buyers for multiple events, hover over a published event and check off the box that appears next to the date on the left. Select as many events as you'd like. Using the menu at the bottom of the screen, click "Track Sales."

Step 2: Fill in the template

Using the CSV file provided, add the email addresses of ticket buyers for your selected events. If you've selected multiple events, combine the email addresses from all events into this CSV and upload them together. We'll do the work of parsing them.

Step 4: Click Upload or drag and drop your CSV

Your report will provide matched ticket buyers and engaged ticket buyers from the events you selected. View it in the dashboard or download it to save and review it as a CSV.

Calculating revenue from Bandsintown Email Alerts

To calculate the revenue generated through Bandsintown email alerts, it’s important to understand the makeup of your purchaser lists:

1. For single ticket orders:

  • Each line in your purchaser list represents a single ticket purchase

  • To determine average revenue for a single ticket, analyze your sales data

    • You can export your sales report from the ticketing platform to find the average revenue for a single ticket, using the =AVERAGE formula.

  • Multiply the number from your Bandsintown sales report with the average revenue per ticket

Example: If the "Total Results for Matched Buyers" is 106, and your average revenue per ticket is $30.00, then the revenue attributed to Bandsintown email alerts would be:

106 orders x $30.00 = $3,180.00

2. For multiple ticket orders:

  • Some lines in your purchaser list indicate orders of more than one ticket

  • Calculate your average revenue per order, considering multiple ticket sales in one order

    • You may export your sales report from the ticketing platform to find the average revenue for an order, using the =AVERAGE formula.

  • Multiply the number from your Bandsintown sales report by this average revenue per order.

Example: If the "Total Results for Matched Buyers" is 106, and your average revenue per order is $55.00, then the revenue attributed to Bandsintown email alerts would be:

106 orders x $55.00 = $5,830.00

Calculating ROI

To calculate your ROI, divide the total revenue from all events in a month by your Bandsintown Premium subscription cost.

Beta tester venues observed an average ROI of 11.35 for those who received alerts and an ROI of 4.07 for those who opened or clicked on them.

PLEASE NOTE: Bandsintown email and mobile alerts are just one component of your customer's purchasing journey. They interact with various touchpoints before making a decision.
